Is The Plan Just Another Diet Book?
One thing that has always amazed me is how we don’t understand that everything in the body is connected. Just today I learned that 70% of our immunity starts in the gut! So imagine if you are getting sick all the time and that you have really poor digestion. Wouldn’t it make sense to take care of your digestion and then see what happens? So many of the foods we eat, even the “healthy” ones wreak havoc in our systems, causing inflammation, bloating, gas all sorts of lovely things.
I was really impressed recently by a book that I’ve heard of called The Plan by Lyn Genet. What impressed me the most is how she goes step by step into an eating plan that helps you determine which foods you may be eating that your body doesn’t like. The best part is how quickly you can lose weight on it.
She of course covers the need for water (as I get myself a glass right now!). You start with a very EASY 3 day cleanse which slowly leads you into different foods and learning how to pay attention to how your body is affected by them. The “fast” is a lot of food! I love how she has you start your day with a glass of water and lemon juice, also with Dandelion tea! Based on my experience The Plan is the smartest thing I’ve seen yet.
