And Other Infrared Sauna Benefits..
I was reading review that was written about our infrared saunas and was quite shocked at her comments! I felt like what I had tried to teach her had not been heard and now want to explain a little more in the hopes that people will “get it” better!
This is how I like to explain it to my clients:
Infrared is one of the rays that come from the sun, but it is not a tanning ray. Unlike conventional sauna, infrared heat is able to penetrate into the skin 1-3 inches. In so doing it is able to detox the body at the cellular level. Infrared sauna heats you from the inside out. Infrared is a great treatment for cellulite, for skin conditions, for weight loss just to name a few.
We chose to have the lay down units here because when you are more relaxed you will release more toxins. Also, I have found in the past that most people did not enjoy the sit down unit as you have to sit on a hard wooden seat and sweat while seated. As well, you have heat around your face which makes it harder to stay in for the full 30 minutes. (I learned recently though that the majority of men will put their heads in.)
